the 2000s Timeline

• Registration was 168 players, 18 teams of 13 (3-T-Ball teams age 4-5), (4-Rookie teams age 6-7), (4-Mite teams age 8-9), (4-Squirt teams age 10-11), (3-Peewee teams age 12+). ASA like all league was shrinking due to interest of other sports forming in the area like soccer, summer hockey, hardball, and the growth of Lacrosse. There was not enough players now to form boys and girls teams in ASA, all the teams were co-ed, but strong.

• ASA tried a joint effort with Eringate for Peewees. Eringate was not willing to form to our way of fun play, so it was dropped eventually. The effort was only to help the greater shrinking Eringate League, which is now part of Etobicoke Softball - as a girls league.

Alderwood has never join the Etobicoke Softball League and is still self sustaining as a Softball co-ed league.

The Association presented trophies to the players at the year end at a Funfest in the park. There was food and games for all to be had and was open to the public. The Funfest was the annual awards presentation for all divisions and lasted till 2006. Awards were then given out at division indoor banquets.

ASA even obtained a chalk machine for lines on the diamonds.
